Myanmar Earthquake Disrupts PV Supply Chain, Silicon Wafer Prices Soar – Yoha So

On April 3, the Silicon Division of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association released its weekly review on monocrystalline silicon wafers, revealing a significant surge in N-type wafer prices. The sudden earthquake in Myanmar has led to a reduction in domestic silicon wafer supply, sparking a bullish market sentiment.

According to the review, this week’s average transaction prices were as follows:

  • N-type G10L monocrystalline silicon wafers (182×183.75mm / 130μm / 256mm): 1.28 RMB per piece, up by 6.67% week-over-week.

  • N-type G12R monocrystalline silicon wafers (182×210mm / 130μm): 1.54 RMB per piece, with a week-over-week increase of 6.21%.

  • N-type G12 monocrystalline silicon wafers (210×210mm / 150μm): 1.59 RMB per piece, marking a 2.58% week-over-week rise.
